Malaysia’s King, His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah recently touched down for a working visit to Türkiye via Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (ISG). His Royal Highness and his entourage were welcomed by the Vice President of Turkiye, Fuat Oktay, Malaysia’s ambassador to Türkiye, Sazali Mustafa Kamal, and Türkiye’s ambassador to Malaysia, Emir Salim Yuksel.
Malaysia Airports’ Chairman, Dato’ Sri Diraja Dr Zambry Abd Kadir, Managing Director, Dato’ Iskandar Mizal Mahmood as well as the Executive Director of ISG, Nazli Abdul Aziz were also present to welcome His Royal Highness.

The His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong had the opportunity to walkabout Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, a wholly owned and managed airport by Malaysia Airports. ISG has seen rapid growth post-pandemic, and is currently the sixth busiest airport in Europe, serving over 110 destinations.

During the walkabout, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong also paid a visit to Sabiha Gökçen Havalimanı Mescidi, the airport mosque built by Malaysia Airports based on the Seljuk architecture and is decorated using the beautiful Iznik tiles.
We hope to see you soon at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport and let's indulge in a city filled with over 2,500 years of history, culture, traditions and landmarks.
