
Meticulously-crafted fruit cake from Sama-Sama Hotel KL International Airport rounds out special cake presentation in conjunction with King’s birthday
September 6, 2019 proved an unforgettable day filled with the unmistakable air of royal grandeur as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah were presented with 29 cakes in a variety of themes and shapes at Istana Negara, in conjunction with the King’s birthday on September 9.

Sama-Sama Hotel KL International Airport’s regal creation this year was spearheaded by Executive Chef Ahmad Farhan Noorzali, and executed by a dedicated pastry team led by Pastry Chef Ahmad Tarmizi Pazim.
An absolute work of art, the five-kilogram fruit cake was inspired by the symbolics of the Pahang sovereignty of the King. It featured “elephant tusks” and the traditional woven silk fabric of Pahang, or popularly known as ‘songket tenun Pahang’.
