Looking to travel soon? Well, passengers travelling through KL International Airport (KLIA) can look forward to a safe, convenient and efficient testing procedure at the new private COVID-19 screening facility by Malaysia Airports, in partnership with BP Healthcare.
With the aim to ensure the highest standards of services with the implementation of new travel SOPs, the premier airport operator opened five centres at KLIA Main Terminal and three centres at klia2. With the facility, passengers can look forward to relaxing while they wait to obtain their COVID-19 RTK, Rapid Molecular PCR and RT-PCR test results within 15 minutes, 1 hour and 3 hours respectively. Passengers could also indulge in the food and beverages that are provided at the centre while waiting at the comfortable lounges equipped with Wi-Fi internet access, portable Wi-Fi rental and telecommunication SIM card.

The Chairman of Malaysia Airports, Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said with the new facility, Malaysia Airports hopes to further restore the confidence of passengers flying via their airports by enhancing the level of comfort and convenience throughout the passengers’ journey.
“With the recently implemented Langkawi domestic travel bubble by the government, we look forward to the lifting of international travel restrictions in the near future,” he said adding that the private COVID-19 screening facility will facilitate safe travel practices for the higher passenger volume when travel resumes.
He further added Malaysia Airports engaged the services of BP Clinical Lab, a top-class medical healthcare provider to run the screening centre and has been sanctioned by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and National Security Council (NSC).

The Health Screening Centre will be able to accommodate about 45,000 passengers daily at both terminals. Upon disembarking, passengers who have opted to use this service will be ushered to the testing facility. Passengers undergoing the private testing can opt to pay via credit card, cash, online transfer or e-payment through https://airport.doctor2u.my/ by BP Clinical Lab.

To ensure excellent services to the passengers, BP Clinical Lab has set up a world-class and robust laboratory at KLIA complete with sample processing, extraction and amplification (PCR) room. The laboratory which was officially approved by MOH last month can handle more than 45,000 tests per day.
The services at the new facility are provided for a fee. The cost per passenger ranges between RM90 to RM370 for Malaysians and RM120 to RM470 for foreigners.
