With the tourism bubble in place, Langkawi is the first to welcome tourists
As Malaysia continue to administer high vaccination roll-out rate, the country is fast approaching herd immunity against the COVID-19 pandemic.
With over 80% of the island population being vaccinated, Langkawi is the pilot destination in the deployment of the travel bubble. In gearing up to welcome tourists once again, many SOPs were introduced including the need for hotel and tourism product owners to register with Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), compulsory for industry players to attend the COVID-19 Education and Risk Assessment course conducted by Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN).
All these initiatives will boost the confidence of travellers as the country gradually re-open the tourism sector. Don’t forget to check out amazing deals from airlines flying to Langkawi.
