‘Jom Cuti-Cuti’ With Malindo Air

Izzat Haziq

Malindo Air to offer RM50 e-travel vouchers with purchase of domestic routes for a limited time only.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a significant impact on the tourism industry, especially when it comes to international routes. However, we can rejoice in knowing that domestic travel is allowed for the time being. I

n light of the circumstances, Malindo Air is launching their ‘Jom Cuti-Cuti’ promotion from now until 15 December 2020. The campaign is also in support of the Stimulus Recovery Plan brought by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture (MOTAC) to stimulate the national economy. Malindo Air’s ‘Jom Cuti-Cuti’ campaign is offering RM50 e-travel vouchers to 6,000 Malaysians with every purchase of flight tickets to any domestic destination within Malaysia.

The voucher registration period starts on 25 November 2020 until 15 December 2020, while the valid travel period is from 25 November 2020 until 31 March 2021. Voucher redemption is available at their website starting 14 days from the issuance date. The campaign is open to all Malaysians with a valid National Registration Identity Card (NRIC), and one voucher is strictly per one NRIC only.

Chief Executive Officer of Malindo Air, Captain Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri shared, “Tourism-related industry continues to be one of the sectors hardest hit by the pandemic crisis, and the outlook for a full recovery is extraordinarily uncertain. MOTAC’s initiative is very timely. While awaiting international borders to reopen, our primary hope in this campaign is to get people to start travelling again safely, albeit domestically.”

He added, “MOTAC has taken impressive action to restore and re-activate the industry. The survival of businesses throughout the tourism ecosystem is already at risk. With this Stimulus Recovery Plan, MOTAC’s action will cushion further blows to the industry.”
