March 11, 2019 was a thrilling day for the lucky winners of the ‘Spend & Win a Car’ and ‘Catch & Win’ contests, held in conjunction with the recent festive seasons at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang (MOP KLIA).
Japan’s branded factory outlet shopping mall celebrated the lucky shoppers at a prize-giving ceremony which ended on a high note with the grand prize winners of the ‘Spend & Win A Car’ contest driving away a brand new Toyota Avanza (six-seater worth RM86,000), while the winner of ‘Catch & Win’ rode off with a Vespa (worth RM12,000).
Speaking at the prize-giving ceremony, Frankie Lee (General Manager Operations, MFMA Development) expressed his gratitude to all customers for making the contests successful. “With 200 stores to shop from, not only shoppers are spoilt for choice with its local and international brands but they can also enjoy good discounts all year round and during festive seasons” he said. “MOP KLIA is truly the place for you to shop for all occasions.”
Bukit Jalil resident Camiea Ng Kee, 56, was absolutely elated with her win – the Toyota Avanza. “My husband and I never expected to win the grand prize, and I was overjoyed when it was announced that I was the winner of the ‘Spend & Win A Car’ contest!”
Ng added that she was lucky and blessed to have won the Toyota Avanza as she had previously planned to purchase a six-seater for her daughter who is obtaining her driving license. “Now that I’ve won the Toyota Avanza, I can save up to buy something else, and for that I am very grateful.”
Forty-three-year-old Noraseekin Mat Nor also expressed her joy of winning the Vespa. “It was my daughter’s suggestion to visit MOP KLIA as I needed to get a new luggage. There were no expectations when I entered the contest. When I broke the news to my family members, they were truly excited!” said Noraseekin.
Asked about her plans with the new Vespa, the Petaling Jaya resident chuckled and said that everyone in the family, including herself, who owns a motorcycle license can freely use the bike on weekends or as and when there are outings.
“I think these contests are a good initiative by MOP KLIA as they help attract visitors,” added Noraseekin, grateful for the surprise win. “I personally want to keep going back there as there are so many stores and contests like these make it worthwhile to shop there.”
Shoppers who spent a minimum of RM300 in a maximum of two receipts were eligible to participate in the contests. Along with the Vespa, there were over 10,000 prizes up for grabs in the ‘Catch and Win’ contest including an iPhone XR, iPad, Smart TV, Gintell Massage Chairs and MOP KLIA Shopping Vouchers.
