Directions & Information: What’s Your Say?

Signage is an important aspect of any location – nobody likes having to blindly wander around. And when it comes to KLIA, being able to know exactly where you are going is doubly more important.

But there always comes the questions, “Are there enough?”, “Can we improve on them even more?”, “Did we make them clear enough?”

To find out, we ask passengers their thoughts on the matter – and here’s what they had to say!

Yana Zainal (Kuantan, Malaysia)
“I think that the amount of signage is very good; they’re helpful and facilitating. I don’t really have any suggestions for improvements because the signs are already very well placed and clear.”

Lok Yee (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
“So far so good in regards to signage … no problems. I do think, though, that the font size could be slightly bigger – but positioning and everything else is okay. It’s all pretty clear.”

Nikolas Noupolous (Thessaloniki, Greece)
“Most of the time it’s okay, though I feel the signage at the AirAsia areas could be improved upon. Visibility’s good enough in general.”

Yasmin Basiran (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia)
“If you need to go somewhere, you can pretty much find your way. Everything’s pretty good, though I would suggest for a few guides to be made available for passengers to seek help from should they have trouble with the signs.”

Nur Ayi Azirah (Puchong, Malaysia)
“I think there’s enough signage ... I can’t really think of any way to improve on them. They’re really clear.”

Sajit Dikwala (Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, Sri Lanka)
“Every sign is also in English and that has helped me; having a language everyone can understand truly helps. I think the font size could be a little bigger but I still managed to find my way around easily.”

Suresh Kumar (Ampang, Malaysia)
“I think the information is good, no problems. I do feel that the signage should be more colourful to highlight things and make them more visible. Locals have an easier time navigating … I think that foreigners could use a little more elaboration with them.”

Sandy Singh (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia)
“As far as I’m concerned they’re quite alright. For the time being I think there’s enough signage and it’s all pretty clear. So far no problems.”

Sansita Mishra (Subang Jaya, Malaysia)
“It’s easy for us to navigate, so far I think it’s okay, comfortable. The font and the like are big enough.”

Ming Tei (Klang, Malaysia)
“I think enough. We can identify which floor we’re on, where the toilets and exits are. I think they could be a bit bigger so it’s easier to identify. I do think some signboards should have different sizes to highlight their importance though.”
