Malaysia Airports Quality Conference 2019, a platform to discuss and improve on existing practices
Held on October 15, 2019, the Malaysia Airports Quality Conference brought together various stakeholders and management systems practitioners to discuss and improve on existing practices – in the interest of creating a high quality and sustainable working environment.
The theme, ‘Towards Sustainable Management System’, was in line with the need to sustain a high level of competencies and service excellence for the benefits of all stakeholders. According to Group Chief Executive Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin, Malaysia Airports’ current business practices, technology innovations and quality achievements have already earned it the Quality of Choice Awards by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).
Eight highly experienced speakers were on hand to shed light on the various insightful topics such as transformation, sustainability, environment, integrity, management systems, health and fitness.
On the first day of the conference, talks were given by Woody Ang on ‘Big Fast Results in Transformation’, Ken Conway on ‘Green Airport Strategy’, Shahrom Hassan on ‘Bahasa Badan Membina Pengaruh & Kepercayaan Pelanggan, Datuk Dr Anis Yusal Yusoff on ‘The Importance of Integrity’, and Rashvin Pal Singh on ‘Sustainable Practices: Keeping it Creative, Engaging, and Within a Budget!’.
On the second day, Kenny Looi delivered his speech entitled ‘Quality Management Principles’, followed by an engaging session by Fakhrul Anwar Ahmad who delved into the topic of ‘Transition ISO 45001:2018 Rules of Implementer’.
Lastly, Kevin Zahri, who’s known as Cikgu Fitness Malaysia, put all participants through a workplace wellness workout that saw everyone getting their heart rates elevated and sweating profusely after a series of exercises.
Malaysia Airports Quality Conference 2019 concluded with participants walking away armed with information and knowledge in creating a sustainable management system to propel Malaysia Airports into greater heights. This would consequently elevate airport guests’ level of confidence and trust on Malaysia Airports.
