The low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines Group now flies direct from Singapore to Kota Bharu with a three-time weekly service
Scoot’s inaugural service from Singapore (SIN) to Kota Bharu (KBR) commenced on July 2, 2019, making the state capital of Kelantan the seventh destination in Malaysia after Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan, Kuching, Langkawi and Penang.
The low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines Group, which flies to Kota Bharu three times a week via Airbus A320, is currently the only carrier operating the SIN-KBR route, offering customers value-added airfares and also time-savings as the direct flight will cut travel time by more than two hours without the layover in Kuala Lumpur.
The airline currently serves a network of 60 destinations across 17 countries and territories including Athens, Berlin, Gold Coast, Jeddah and Sydney from Singapore.
Kota Bharu, located in the northeastern part of Peninsular Malaysia, close to the Thailand border, is home various museums, old royal palaces, markets, traditional arts and craft such as ‘wau’ (Malaysian kite), captivating Islamic architecture taking the shape of mosques – and, of course, flavoursome dishes unique to Kelantan.
