AirAsia X expands reach to India with a new direct route.
Starting 29 April 2020, AirAsia X will be flying directly to Ahmedabad, India from Kuala Lumpur. AirAsia Head of Commercial, Rajkumar Paranthaman explained, “With this development, we are looking forward to adding more destinations in our array of routes and help our guests get a convenient experience of flying to international countries.”
Ahmedabad, fondly known as the “Manchester of the East'', is a city of mystical temples, intriguing museums and sprawling marketplaces. Renowned for its textile industry, tourists can visit the Calico Museum of Textiles, which houses the finest fabrics spun, woven and printed dating back from five centuries ago, as well as an impressive collection of furniture, temple artifacts and crafts from the region.
As part of their launch promotion, the low-cost carrier is offering flight fares to its customers from as low as INR3399 to this westernmost state of India.
As of now, AirAsia and AirAsia X currently connect Kuala Lumpur to popular travel destinations in India, namely Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Tiruchirapally, Visakhapatnam, New Delhi, Jaipur, and Amritsar.
